When Jay discovered that a momma cat had given birth to a litter of kitties, in his next door neighbor's car engine no less, he instinctually knew that a rescue would be in order. "My girlfriend and I took one look at those little fur babies in our neighbor's driveway and we knew we were going to be "cat parents" for the first time," said Jay. "We also knew that we wanted to adopt two of them, but we really didn't know what we were supposed to do once we took them home. As first time pet owners, we were pretty clueless."
Pet Assure to the Rescue!
"I've been an iCan MedChoice member for five years now and remembered that there was a discount pet plan with Pet Assure® included in my membership which was really a saving grace," said Jay. "My girlfriend and I were able to find a local Vet through their network that offered discounted services on examinations, inoculations and even on spaying and neutering. On top of that, Pet Assure offered us free PALS tags (Pet Assistance Locator Service), which gave us both peace of mind knowing that Bella and Dutch would be both indoor and outdoor cats."
Serious Savings
All in all, with the 20% discount they received on health services, Jason claims they saved over $500 by using an in-network Pet Assure Veterinarian, as well as 15% off of their cats' collars and toys from an online merchant that Pet Assure works with. "Funnily enough, when I presented my MedChoice card to the Vet assistant at checkout, she was like, "wow, you saved a lot with this card!" And, she was right, we did."
Say Cheeeeeese!
"So, now that we're "Official Cat Parents," we of course had to attach a picture of Bella and Dutch for you to see just how purrfect they are! Almost a year-old and best friends, we couldn't imagine our lives without them."
