6 Million Americans Have Signed Up for Coverage: NOT!

On January 10, 2014, President Barack Obama tweeted, "Six million Americans have gotten covered. Have you?" But, according to Wall Street Journal reporters Weaver and Mathews, recent studies are revealing that the real number of those who have signed up for healthcare on the government exchanges has been less than one million.

Cost vs. Technical Glitches

A whopping 52% surveyed by health industry surveyor McKinsey & Co., stated that AFFORDABILITY was their biggest complaint with healthcare.gov's offerings. Rather shocking, considering all we've heard on the news about hackers and glitches affecting the website and its launch. Nonetheless, only 30% cited "technical challenges in buying the plans."

New analyses suggests that Medicaid enrollments are also being exaggerated by the Administration, leaving many fearing that "we're not growing the insured, just adding complexity." Even journalists and reporters, who have parroted said inflated numbers, are now being more cautious about reporting Medicaid enrollee stats received from the Administration.
